Index No. A4822 Gold English Lever Hunter
A late 19th Century English lever by Dent with offset seconds and unusual dust cover in a gold full hunter case. Full plate gilt keywind movement with going barrel. Plain cock, polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, offset at nine o'clock, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial engine turned 18 carat, maker's marks "Dent" and "EM" in rectangles and number corresponding to that on the movement. There is no cuvette, its place being taken by a gilt dust cover secured in the normal way by a slide.
