Index No. A4949 Silver Quarter Repeating English Verge
An early 19th Century English verge in a silver open face case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement. Engraved cock with garnet endstone, silver regulator disc, plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Push pendant quarter repeating on two steel gongs. Fully restored signed white enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt hands. Engine turned silver open face case with ribbed middle, wound through the silver cuvette, silver push pendant. The inner surfaces of the case gilt, maker's mark "NC" in a rectangle.
