A Swiss lever made for an English retailer as a railway watch in a nickel open face case. Damascened nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones in polished steel settings. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain nickel open face case, solid body with screw on bezel, the movement hinging out. On the back of the case a depiction of a steam locomotive in an oval cartouche and inscribed "Winegarten's Railway Regulator".
