An early 19th Century English verge with finely painted polychrome enamel dial in silver pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial the plain central section with Arabic numerals, pierced gold hands. Surrounding the white chapter a finely painted polychrome enamel scene depicting a rural village scene, a figure fishing beside a bridge in the foreground. Matching silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow, maker's mark "WG".
