A late 18th Century double sided English verge with centre seconds and calendar in a paste set gilt metal case. Full plate fusee movement with bayonet fit gilt dust ring. The balance is located under the calendar dial and the regulation effected by a subsidiary on the dial. Centre seconds transfer work under the conventional dial, the seconds hand situated between the hour and minute hands. Signed fully restored white enamel dial with subsidiaries for time, Roman numerals, gilt hands. Three further subsidiaries for date, moonphase and regulation of the watch. The other white enamel centre seconds dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, gold arrow hands, blue steel seconds hand. Substantial gilt metal consular case glazed on both sides. The bezels set alternately with clear and ruby pastes. Lateral steel stop lever under the front bezel.
