| A late 19th Century Swiss lever with double sided calendar in a gunmetal case. Keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Uncut balance with overcoil hairspring, club foot lever escapement. Fully restored white enamel dial with subsidiary
seconds and Roman numerals, pierced gilt hands. The phase of the moon is indicated through an aperture in the centre of the dial on a blue steel and gold disc. The other calendar indications are on the other side of the watch under a sprung hunter cover. The days of the week and date shown by a single gilt hand and the month in a rectangular aperture. The number of the days in each month are also given and the outer silvered ring indicating the day can
be rotated by a thumb wheel to align the correct day with the date. The date is changed automatically by a pawl on the movement. Plain gunmetal case with plain back opened by depressing a button in the crown, gilt bezels, hinge, winding button and bow.
