A late 17th Century English verge with silver champleve dial and decorative pillars in silver pair cases. Deep full plate fire gilt movement, four elaborately pierced decorative pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with mask, pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Signed silver champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, later blue steel beetle and tulip shaped hands. Large plain silver pair cases, the inner with casemaker's mark "TB", later silver pendant and bow, the outer case with seven joint hinge.
