An early 19^th Century English verge with three colour gold dial in a gold open face case. Full plate fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved round cock, diamond endstone, steel regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. Decorative gold dial, a band of foliate applied three colour gold at the edge, applied gold Roman numerals, engine turned centre. Serpentine gold hands. Engine turned 18 carat open face case with richly chased and engraved middle, pendant and bow. Small circular cartouche on the back engraved "JR" and an armorial shield on the inner dome, maker's mark "CL"
