A 19^th Century English fusee with gold dial in a gold open face case. Full plate fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved round cock, diamond endstone, gilt regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. English lever escapement, converted from verge. Gold dial with engine turned centre, applied gold Roman numerals on a matted ground, gold serpentine hands. Engine turned 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle. Inscription on inner gold dome "MG to LJ 1821", maker's mark "TW".
