A late 18^th Century Swiss verge with polychrome enamel calendar dial in a gold consular case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silvered regulator dial with gilt indicator. Round pillars. Signed polychrome enamel dial, subsidiaries for day, date ad time with Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. The scene depicts a man carrying a spear collecting water in a bowl from a mountain stream, his dog drinking beside him. Plain 18 carat gold consular case
