A mid 19th Century English fusee pocket chronometer by Frodsham in a gold open face case. Gilt half plate keywind movement with fusee and chain, Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone. Compensation balance with freesprung helical blue steel hairspring. Escape wheel pivots with endstones. Earnshaw type spring detent chronometer escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat open face case with faded engraved vacant cartouche on the back cover. Maker's mark "RR" and number corresponding to that on the movement.
