Index No. A3939 GOLD SKELETONISED QUARTER REPEATER by BREGUET ET FILS

An unusual slim skeletonised quarter repeating cylinder by Breguet et Fils in a gold open face case. Full plate gilt movement with the gilt three arm balance in an aperture under a polished steel bridge cock, polished steel regulator. Going barrel under a polished steel bridge, polished steel Geneva stopwork, both covers pierced and engraved to reveal the blue steel mainspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. The pierced and richly engraved plate and bridges visible through the dial aperture showing the gold train wheels with four spoke crossings and motion work with five spoke crossings. Polished steel quarter repeating work visible above the plate striking on two polished steel gongs. Fully restored white enamel ring dial bearing a small signature below the numeral six, Arabic numerals, blue steel Breguet hands. Slim plain 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle, gold oval push pendant and bow. Glazed sprung cuvette with apertures for the winding and set squares.
