An early 20th Century English lever by Charles Frodsham in a gold half hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel, under and engraved raised section of the top plate. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, garnet endstone. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, polished steel escape wheel. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Fully restored signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. A faded armorial device on the back cover and a dedication engraved on the gold cuvette. Number corresponding to that on the movement. , maker's mark "HMF" in an oval.
