A 19th Century American lever in a gold and enamel full hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, club foot lever escapement, unusual long lever. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Profusely engraved 18 carat full hunter case, the lids decorated with champleve black enamel in a foliate pattern. Gold cuvette, maker's mark "AW Co" in a crescent.
