A 19th Century English lever by Dent in a gold half hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate
keyless movement with
going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone. compensation
balance with blue steel
overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and
lever pivots with
endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds offset at 9
o'clock, Roman numerals,
blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. All three lids
with the number
corresponding to that on the movement and three maker's marks (some repeated) "DENT" -
"JWS" - "GB", all in
rectangles.
