A late 19th century Swiss quarter repeating chronograph in a gold full hunter case. Nickelled three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Grained steel flyback centre seconds chronograph work above the plates. Slide quarter repeating on two steel gongs. White enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, red fifth seconds markings, blue steel hands. Substantial plain 18 carat full hunter case, gold slide and chronograph button, maker's mark "CV" in a rectangle.
