An early 20th Century American lever in a gold full hunter case. Damascened nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat full hunter case, a monogram engraved on the front cover and a small dedication inside, maker's mark "ALD" in a rectangle.
