Index No. A3807 SILVER PAIR CASED VERGE with OWNER'S NAME

An early 19th Century English verge, the dial with the owner's name in silver pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved masked cock, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Unusual white enamel dial, the characters of the owners name, John Martin, replacing the numerals with the all seeing eye at 12 and crescent moon at 6. Gilt hands. Matching silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow, maker's mark "SC".
