A mid 18th Century English verge in silver pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with
square baluster pillars.
Pierced and engraved cock, blued regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel
barrel setup between the
plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with
Roman and Arabic
numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Plain silver pair cases, maker's mark "IW".

Condition
Case _ _______ Very good, repaired at the pendant.
Dial _ _______ Excellent, slight hairline crack.
Movement _ __Very good.
Unusually the movement is hinged out by inserting a pin through a hole in the case to
release the spring. This method was
never commonly employed, examples more usually dating from the 1700's.
