Index No. A5131 Gold American Hunter
A late 19th Century American lever in a decorative gold full hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Small engraved and engine turned 10 carat full hunter case. The back cover decorated with an engraved floral design within an oval frame. On the front cover a shield shaped cartouche with faded initials in a floral surround and oval frame. Wound and set through the gold cuvette, maker's mark "AB" in a rectangle.
