An early 18th Century English verge with gilt champleve dial in a shagreen covered gilt metal consular case. Deep full plate fire gilt movement with Egyptian pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Signed gilt champleve dial within an engraved gilt border, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal consular case covered in green shagreen, gilt pique pins and circular shutter to the back.
