An early 19th Century Swiss verge in a three colour gold gem set open face case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel endstone, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Round pillars. Signed engine turned silver dial with Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Matted gold open face case with applied three colour gold decoration, set with turquoise and amethyst. Unusually the signed gold cuvette opens although the movement hinges out of the case.
