A late 18th Century Swiss verge with calendar in a gold consular case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. pentagonal baluster pillars. Unusual attractive dial, the silver pierced mask set with marquesites, gilt dial plate engraved at the edge. Three small white enamel dials, the hour indicator with Roman numerals, those for the minutes and date with Arabic numerals, pierced gilt hands, blue steel calendar hand. Decoratively engraved 18 carat consular case, the bezel bordered by a band of small marquesites. Marked with crossed keys in the case.
