A mid 18^th Century English verge in leather covered gilt metal pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with square baluster pillars. Pierced and engraved masked cock, pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm gilt balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Engraved gilt brass edge bordering the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, later blue steel beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal pair cases, the outer covered in dark green leather with gilt pique pins and the inner bearing the number corresponding to that on the movement.
