A fine late 18th Century English verge by Ellicott in a pearl set gold and enamel open face case. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock, diamond endstone, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Winding through the engine turned gold dial with applied gold Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Fine gold open face case, the bezels set with split pearls. Translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground on the back of the watch.
