A late 19th Century American lever in an engraved silver open face case with applied gold decoration. Full plate gilt keywind movement. Engraved cock, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Silver engine turned dial with subsidiary seconds, applied gold Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Silver open face case covered with decorative engraving. Applied gold ring to the back around the vacant shield shaped cartouche. Maker's mark "AB" in a rectangle.
