A late 18th Century English verge in gilt metal pair cases, the outer covered in underpainted horn. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Attractively pierced and engraved cock, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial, radially set Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Gilt metal pair cases, the outer covered in horn underpainted with an unusual polychrome scene of village, a detailed depiction of a cottage in the foreground.
