A late 18^th Century verge with polychrome enamel dial in a cast "repousse" case with a protective silver and tortoiseshell outer. Full plate fire gilt movement with square baluster pillars. Pierced and engraved bridge cock, pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with central polychrome harbour scene, Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative gilt hands. Silver pair cases, the inner plain with silver pendant and bow. The outer cast case with a repousse scene finely chased and engraved which appears to depict the Judgement of Solomon. In a well fitting contemporary silver and tortoiseshell protective third case.
