| A kid 19th Century English gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with unusual split centre seconds. Fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial, additionally signed "Arnold", split centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. | ||

| An unusual form of split seconds. One second hand runs continuously while the other can be stopped by depressing the pendant. When released this hand would return to align itself with the hand running continuously by means of a spiral hairspring attached to the seconds arbor. The hand could only be stopped for a maximum of 55 seconds. |
