Index No. M5706 Early Swiss Independent Seconds Movement
An early 19th Century Swiss gilt keywind bar movement with independent jumping seconds.  Two suspended going barrels with polished steel stopwork.  Plain sector shaped cock with polished steel regulator and coqueret. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, brass escape wheel.  Independent centre seconds the fly controlled by a steel castle wheel mounted on the escape wheel pinion. Wound and set through the sprung gilt cuvette, the aperture for the hand set engraved with a representation of watch hands and the winding with serpents.
