Index No. M7501 English Verge Movement with Gold Dial
A fine late 17th Century English verge movement with gold calendar champleve dial by Fromanteel and Clarke.  Deep full plate fire gilt movement, Egyptian pillars with pierced galleries above.  Elaborate pierced and engraved potence to the blue steel fusee stop.  Fusee with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock, the table unusually finely worked, pierced and engraved foot.  Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc.  Fine gold champleve dial with rectangular date aperture at twelve o'clock in the middle of the numeral 60.  Finely pierced and engraved gold centre, blue steel ground below, Roman and Arabic numerals.
