A small late 19th Century English gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, Signed off white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Turkish numerals, blue steel hands.

• Condition Excellent, working. Hairline crack and small chip to the edge of the dial, hour hand broken.

Unusually late for an English watch made for the Turkish market. The Prior family had been exporting watches since the 18th Century.
