A fine late 18th Century quarter repeating verge by Eardley Norton. Full plate fire gilt movement with signed and numbered gilt dust cover. Pierced and engraved cock, profusely engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Push pendant quarter repeating originally on a bell, pulse piece in the dial plate. Plain three arm gilt balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Signed white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, gold hands.
