Brass ratchet wheel mounted on the seconds arbor, probably for use if the instrument were converted to a master chronometer. The movement secured to the gilt dial plate by three polished steel screws. Engraved signed and numbered silvered

Turned brass bowl, screw brass bezel with flat glass, lacking rotating shutter to the winding hole. Brass gimbals and locking mechanism, brass ratchet key.
