Index No. A6751 Minute Repeating Silver and Enamel Clock
An early 20th Century minute repeating eight day lever clock in a silver and enamel case.   Rectangular movement with large going barrel.  Platform for the club foot lever escapement, plain cock, polished steel regulator, the index on the plate of the movement.  Push button  minute repeating on two polished steel gongs visible on the back of the movement. Circular white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, blue steel hands.  Small rectangular silver case decorated with fully restored light blue translucent enamel over an engine turned ground.  At the corners of the front and top polychrome enamel decoration of flowers. Hinged silver back door engraved "Janet".  Silver folding handle and button for the repeat.  In a distressed black morocco travelling case with two hinged front doors and a hinged top lid, signed in the lining for the New York retailer.
