| An unusual mid 19th Century French clock with suspended platform made for the Turkish market in a decorative glazed silver case. Circular gilt keywind movement suspended from the top plate of the case. Eight day duration with two large going barrels. Unusual platform escapement below the
movement, the square plate with the pivot for the balance hanging from four slender turned pillars. Compensation balance on a very long staff, blue steel helical hairspring. English table roller lever escapement in the upper plate, plain cock carrying the steel regulator. Hour and half hour striking on a small bell. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Turkish numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Decorative silver case glazed on all
sides. Cast base and two pillars at the front. Engraved silver top surmounted by cast basket filled with flowers. Glazed hinged doors back and front.
