Index No. A5854 Silver and Enamel Repeating Clock
A small early 20th Century Swiss quarter repeating clock in a silver and enamel case.  Gilt rectangular keywind movement with going barrel. Rectangular gilt platform, plain cock with polished steel regulator. Compensation balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Push pendant quarter repeating on two steel gongs visible above the plate.  white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Small silver case standing on four turned feet, the circular dial visible through a glazed aperture in the front.  The top, front and sides covered in translucent puce enamel over an engine turned ground.  Hinged engine turned silver back door.  In a fitted red morocco case with two hinged doors, a recess in the back for the brass key. Velvet and silk lined bearing the signature "Lambert Levy & Co  - Paris & Buenos Aires".
