How to make the most of your time

Our lives are all ruled by time, determining every second of our day. However, here are just a few things you can do that will help you to make the most of your time and enjoy your life to the fullest!

Stick to a schedule

By creating a schedule, it can help you to effectively plan your day and improve productivity. Be it at work or at home, planning your activities and knowing what needs to be done and when can give you a more motivation to make it through the day. Think of each of these things as a milestone, then you can reward yourself after a certain amount of good work.

Make the most of the mornings

Research shows that we are the most productive in the morning, so make the most of them! Refreshed from a peaceful night’s sleep we are ready to tackle the day, so try and plan the most important of your daily activities before lunchtime. Or why not try going to bed an hour earlier and getting up an hour earlier, see how much more you can get done with that extra hour before work.

Wear a watch

Whether you prefer a wrist watch or pocket watch, carrying round one of these beautiful timepieces keeps you in touch with time. It’ll help you to stick to your schedule and make more use of the time and its passing. These are convenient, simple and reliable. With such a wide range available there will certainly be one to suit your tastes and needs.

Take a break

Although this may seem counterproductive, taking breaks can give you that little bit of extra energy you need to keep going throughout the day and help you to focus. Take 20 minutes to enjoy a little ‘me-time’ whether that’s lounging on the sofa, reading a book or even taking a short walk to stretch your legs. If you’re feeling a little tired, treat yourself to a healthy snack during your break and keep yourself hydrated for a little mid-day boost.

Find something to motivate you

From little treats throughout the day to an upcoming weekend away, setting goals that allow you to treat yourself helps you to achieve those tasks that you aren’t quite as keen to do. Another way to motivate yourself if by putting a certain amount of money away for every worthy task you complete, then you can allow yourself a luxury purchase with the money built up. For example, you could use the money to purchase one of our antique desk clocks. This purchase might even help you to make the best of your time in future!
